Reflection- I’ve always approached creative challenges with an open mind. I don’t carefully plan out what i’m going to create, rather I go with whatever first comes to mind. When seeing the materials on the table, I went for whatever I thought looked interesting and started to create my book. This lead me to come up with an artist book that sort of resembles a journal. Building off of that I thought ahead on how I want my final project to look. Giving the appearance of an old withered journal is my end goal and more work will be needed to complete this. After talking with Professor Gordon she really helped in the creative process and how I should match the theme of my artist book to the short story i’m writing. It’s a new experience from traditional books that I have yet to explore and I’m excited to continue this process as my writing and the artistry of my book continue in the coming weeks.
